Well, just to end the year on something more positive, I figured I'd mention the things that have happened since the last notice.

First off, I was indeed able to recover my data. The enclosure for my external hard drive had died, but the drive itself was safe, so all that information was recoverable just fine. One new enclosure later, and I've got my images! And to make sure I still had them, I burned copies of all my files onto DVD data disks. That's the first bit.

The second bit, my truck's transmission died on me a few weeks ago, just before Christmas, and so I've been without a ride since then. Thankfully I had someone at work willing to give me a ride to and from there, so I was able to keep bringing in an income. The transmission should be fixed at the earliest...tomorrow. I don't think it will be though, and will most likely be fixed on the 4th of January. But hey, maybe I'll get lucky and can truly end the year on a much more positive note than it looked like. I'm counting my lucky stars so far, and hopefully I have a few more left.

Third thing...not sure if it's good news or not though. I turned 30 last Sunday. I'm not where I thought I would be at this age. I can only hope that I'll get up there before I turn 40. Got my work cut out for me though. But, progress is progress.

My computer is still down, but I my motherboard was under warranty so I'm getting that sent off to get repaired or replaced. So within a few weeks I should be back to full capacity once again. Fingers crossed.

So that is the latest and greatest from the land of one very tired, worn out, recovering stressed single and lonely man.

Ok, that last bit went completely against the point of this journal. I shall correct this by ending the journal with this...

Still in the process of moving, and I'm almost completely done with it. Good thing too, cause I have to be out of this place by the 31st, but it's very doable at this point. Just have to get the odds and ends and clean the place up and I'm good to go.

But back to the title of the journal...I know there's genre's of music people don't care for in general. Like me, I don't care for most of rap, R&B, Hip Hop and Deathmetal, but I don't generally mind them all that much either. I just don't go out of my way to listen to it.

However, there's certainly songs we can't stand, for one reason or another. The song that I absolutely, positively refuse to listen to, to the point I will change the channel or shut the radio off, is Macy Gray's "I Try." I couldn't stand it when it came out, and I can't stand it now. I don't like her voice, it grates on me, and I just can't stand a whole song of it. I admit it, I tried. I really did. I did my best to go past her voice to the song itself...and I couldn't. I just couldn't. So to this day I refuse to listen to it.

1: What's the name of the OC you love?
That's a tough one. They all have their quirks and various things that make them stand out to me. If I had to narrow it down, it would be between Josie and Tankette.

2: Who made the OC?
That would be me.

3: Why do you love the OC?
Their personalities, and of being strong, good looking women who can hold their own in a fight with others.

4: How long you loved the OC?
Tankette about....many years. Josie, probably since the redesign of her from being a human being into a Saiyan female, yet with clear human traits and thinking patterns.

5: If you could do anything with that OC, what would it be?
I honestly don't know. They're both very attractive women, and I tend to freeze up in the presence of such women. If it was just us to hang out, I'd probably just treat'em as any other buddy I have and be myself.

Which means I'd make obvious comments on their bodies, fully expecting them to smirk and smack me, or tease me back. Fair's fair.

6: Do you have a crush on the OC?
A crush? Probably not a crush. Lust? Definitely.

I'm male, but I'm honest about it at least.

Don't know honestly. I think Tankette's aggressiveness would be a put off, and Josie is fairly cool, which would also be a put off.

Not a thing. Which is about normal in my life.

9: Is there another OC or real character based off a video game or television show you think is best paired with the one you love?
There's a character by that works great with Tankette. He also had one for Josie as well.
